It is with no small humility that I am the first to say something about the iPad, which is ideal for anyone wanting an instrument with, er, exactly its specification. Is it possible that the impressive secrecy that surrounded it came simply from the dullness? If they had gone for the SlotJonny there would have been a port in which to dock your iPhone... if they had gone for the RollUpJonny the computer bit would have been cylindrical and the screen a sheet that rolls round it - the technology is there. But no. After seven years of industrial espionage and silly con sunshine, they have buffed up the beloved old Compaq tablet I bought on TCR in 2003.
